henna art in Iran

Decorative and attractive henna art on the skin is a long-standing part of Persian culture. A tradition often associated with wedding rituals and other important celebrations, many tourists to Iran- especially Southern Iran- enjoy having beautiful designs skillfully applied to their hands. Artists use a brush, stick, or fine plastic nozzle to apply the paste to the skin, creating intricate patterns and designs on various parts of the body.  Genoveva, our Spanish guest, Visited Qeshm Island and she found hordes of people doing this activity and she tried it.
