Ashura Ceremony in Iran
Our traditions are
vastly different from those in other countries and cultures. These traditions
may vary depending on the city and People’s beliefs. One of the most esteemed
days for Muslims is Ashura and every year many
people across the globe attend Ashura ceremony. Day of Ashura is the day of sorrow and grief for Shia Muslim and all
the people who love Hussain from different religions. Shia muslim dressed in
black, take part in the Ashura processions to commemorate the martyrdom
anniversary of Imam Hussain and all 72 of his companions. This year, Muslims
will honor Imam Hossein by participating in Ashura ceremony on the sunset of Wednesday,
the 19th of September.
