Tamooz Celebration

August 1st , one of the hottest days of the year, has a special meaning for us Iranians and we celebrated this day.

 Mordad is the hottest month of the year in the ancient Iranian calendar. "Cheleh Bozorg" is one of the Iranian celebrations that is forgotten today, but in the south of Khorasan, the longest day of the year is still celebrated. Chele Tamooz started around the first of July and continued until the 10th of August. These forty days usually begin with the longest day of the year.

 The Vank Cathedral is a masterpiece of architecture in Isfahan. The Interior of Vank Cathedral is a true exhibition of art, representing frescos, carvings, and tiles. Takhte Soleyman

 UNESCO World heritage site, Takht-e-Soleiman is one of the oldest zoroastrian temples in the world which is located on a hill with fortified walls. This amazing place is an archaeological site in West Azarbaijan from Sasanian Empire. It lies midway between Urmia and Hamadan, very near the town of Takab. A natural spring feed a lagoon inside the main area of the temple. There are also ruins of an even older temple from which you can have an amazing view to the main temple. Tiregan Festival

 Tiregan is one of the biggest festivals in ancient Iran. Traditionally, it is held on the 13th day of the month of Tir, (the 4th month of the Persian calendar) which corresponds to the 4th July in the Gregorian calendar. This celebration is held near water sources, and people gather there exciting and pour water on each other. It is accompanied by wishing for abundant rains and no draughts. Persepolis in Iran

 About 60 km from Shiraz, near Marvdasht, Perspolis is the only royal city to offer important vestiges. Persepolis, the ancient capital of the kings of the Achaemenian dynasty of Iran was ounded by Darius I in 518 B.C. It was built on an immense half-artificial, half-natural terrace, where the king of kings created an impressive palace complex inspired by Mesopotamian models. Walking around the ruin is like traveling back in time, through the rich history of the ancient Persian Empire. The statues and wall carvings are very well preserved and as stunning as a ruin can be. Don’t miss this UNESCO World Heritage site which is a must see in Iran.

Azarbayjan Museum

 The Museum of Azerbaijan is one of the most important Iranian museums located in the city of Tabriz and beside the Blue Mosque. The museum, known as the second Iranian archaeological museum after the National Museum of Iran. There are historical and artistic works in the museum, belonging to the pre-Islamic and Islamic eras. The museum comprises three halls and an extensive library that In terms of history contains articles discovered from digs in Iranian Azerbaijan and some great sculptures by an Iranian sculptor.
