There is no
denying that travelers are always on the lookout for gifts and souvenirs to
bring home—a memorable thing that will help to remind them of their exciting
trip. Our suggestion as locals is Termeh, one of the most valuable, most
exquisite and most well-known crafts in Iran, which express something immediate
and palpable about our country. Termeh is the name given to a specialty nice cloth
which is woven since Safavi era in Iran and originated in Yazd. This kind of
cloth is hand-woven and primarily produced with high quality raw materials and
fibers. Being sensitive, careful and time-consuming work, are behind the
reasons that make this kind of handicraft expensive.
