Castles are staple of Persian history as several of them still stand today. One of these magnificent castles is Bam Citadel in Kerman province where the earliest parts of this ancient castles was built as fortresses. It was considered as one the most important trading center and is famous for producing silk and cotton materials. It has received extensive repair work throughout the centuries and it is open to the public today as tourist attractions.
