Flower and bird painting is a form of traditional Persian art. This type of painting includes two simple elements which could be found all over the world, namely flowers and bird. Flower and Bird painting reached its pinnacle in Safavid era. 
Flowers and birds,  symbols of God‘s grace and delicate expression, create harmony between the elements of the painting.

Golestan Palace in Tehran

Golestan Palace, also known as palace of flowers is the vestige of Iranian civilization that recently has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage .The mansion was built in Safavid era and was renovated in the Qajar dynasty. The complex consists of 17 palaces, museums and halls in different locations for special purposes. It is one of the most beautiful and oldest royal palaces in Tehran and it was the official residence of royal king’s family during Qajar and Pahlavi era. Iranian Handicrafts

Handicrafts and art industry represent culture, tradition and creativity of the people of Isfahan. Miniature painting, carving, mosaic and inlaid art crafts are traditional arts which flourished in the Safavid era. Inlaid art crafts consist of objects with small wooden triangles in regular geometric forms. Inlaid art works in geometric patterns are composed of triangles made up of ivory, camel bone, wood, brass and wire. Many products such as picture frames, jewelry boxes, cigarette boxes, pipes and album covers are decorated with this intricate inlaid work. You can visit Qeytariye bazar in Isfahan and spend some hours in this historical yet alive atmosphere which seems to be a great experience while traveling in Iran and enjoy watching and buying these marvelous handicrafts.

Persian Caravanserai

Caravanserai is a public building used for sheltering caravans and other travelers at night. The caravansary is usually constructed outside the walls of a town or village. The structure is quadrangular in form and is enclosed by a massive wall that has small windows near the top and only a few narrow air holes near the bottom. In Iran the Caravanserais existence goes back to before Islam and mainly Sassanian time but the main ones still standing today are from Safavid dynasty and by the order of Shah Abbas 999 Caravansaries were built.
