Golestan Palace in Tehran

Golestan Palace, also known as palace of flowers is the vestige of Iranian civilization that recently has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage .The mansion was built in Safavid era and was renovated in the Qajar dynasty. The complex consists of 17 palaces, museums and halls in different locations for special purposes. It is one of the most beautiful and oldest royal palaces in Tehran and it was the official residence of royal king’s family during Qajar and Pahlavi era. Shazde Garden: A Sparkling Diamond on Heart of Desert

Shazde or Prince Garden, one of the most outstanding examples of Persian historical garden, was originally built under the order of the governor of Kerman, during the late Qajar period.  Its location, near Mahan, was selected strategically as it was placed on the route between Bam Citadel and Kerman. The garden’s traditional edifice was embellished with small brooks rushing between green and gigantic trees.The presence of fertile soil, gentle sunshine, mild breeze and most importantly  qanats(water ditches), miraculously, has provided the possibility of creating a grassy garden in that  dry area.Shazdeh Garden was registered by UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the name of the Persian Garden in 2011. Darvaze-ye Arg-e Semnan

Constructed in Qajar era at the time of Bahman Mirza Baha al-Dowleh, Darvaze-ye Arg-e Semnan is an intriguing construction consisting of a wall covered with fascinating tilework which holds a large wooden door, located in the middle of a square. The current monument is the only remaining part of Semnan Citadel; in fact, it is the northern gate. It is an architectural city element using geometric designs and mythological patterns on the southern gateway to welcome the visitors. The most important feature of this gate is the historical paintings on the tiles which shows the battle of Iranian heroic character, Rostam, with the White Beast. It was registered in the List of National Monuments of Iran by the Cultural Heritage Organization in 1358.
