Discover Iran; A less- known Destination

If you’re after advice on including a tour in a less- known destination, you’ve come to the right place. Uppersia members are perfectly placed to advise on which type of tour will suit you best.
Many people decide to go travelling alone, but opt to include a small group tour, that's safer to travel with a group. You can choose the tour that takes in all your must-see sights, whether you’re a history or nature activity enthusiast! Thanks to Milad for accompanying this friendly crowds, who joined Salam Tour and saw more of the country in a short space of time.

Spanish guests in Tehran

Iran is known for being one of the most civilized of the Persian nations. The country is relatively safe, peaceful, and stable. Iranian people are also noted for their warm hospitality and nature. Foreigners may receive curious looks, but this is often followed by cheery waves and attempts to strike up a conversation. A friendly Spanish bunch with Azade explored Iran in a 10-day trip and we’re so glad to hear that they had good vibes about Iran.

What are your traveling preferences?

Travelling is one of the best ways to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people and enjoy picturesque places. However, if people want to make their trip more memorable and amusing they should always have a company of good persons. Traveling with other people would certainly be safe and we are able to support as well as rely on each other. Most people prefer to travel alone in cities near them but to other countries they like to travel in group. Rather than traveling solo, our Chines guests preferred to explore Iran in a group and have travelling companions. And how about you? What are your traveling preferences?

Ramadan in Iran

Ramadan is a special time for Muslims around the world. Tourists travelling to a Muslim country during this holy month of fasting will be presented with a unique opportunity to observe and experience distinctive scenes, customs, and traditions. Although foreigners or non-Muslims are not expected to fast, it is illegal in Iran to eat, drink, or smoke in public during the fasting hours. However, it is mostly acceptable to dine within the confines of your hotel.
If you're planning on travelling to a Muslim-majority region during this time, you’re in for an utterly fascinating experience. This month is traditionally a time of great hospitality and generosity, so go ahead and accept Ramadan sweets or invitations to feasts, parties and family gatherings. This energetic and of course adventurous group from Hungary travel to Iran during Ramadan as they want to explore a Muslim country in a new way. Uppersia’s professional and sociable tour guide, Ali Sheibani, accompanied our guests during their memorable trip to Iran.
