International day of Cyrus the Great

 On October 29, Iranians marked the international day of Cyrus the Great. This day is intended to commemorate the founder of the Achaemenid Persian Empire (539-331 B.C.E)

The tomb of Cyrus the Great Achaemenid, is a modest but unique building. The tomb was built with precision techniques and engineering that is still almost intact after 25 centuries. Iranians commemorate this day by gathering at Pasargadae, the tomb of Cyrus the Great, which is located in the Fars province.
