Soltaniye dome in Zanjan

From impressive and incredible monuments to precious religious shrines, Iran can boast a great deal of UNESCO World Heritage sites. If you are thinking of going to Iran, you, like many others, probably have Isfahan and Shiraz on your list without thinking of all the amazing, smaller towns in the country that are perhaps even more beautiful. Wen was accompanied by Milad and they didn’t take the road everybody else is taking. They visited Soltaniye dome in Zanjan where gave them a far more authentic Persian experience.

The Official Language of Iran

The official language of Iran is only one: Persian. As the names for regions, people, and languages are mostly the same, seven more languages are recognized as regional languages: Azerbaijani, Kurdish, Lori, Mazandarani, Gilaki, Baluchi and Arabic.

• Azari is the name of the ancient language of Azerbaijan which belongs to a branch of the northwestern Iranian language.

• The majority of the Baluch tribe whose language is called Baluchi, are settled in Baluchistan, in the southern district of Iran, Pakistan, and some parts of Afghanistan in the southeast.

• Mazandarani and Gilaki languages refer to the people who live in the north.

• Kurd tribes live in west of Iran, a part of Turkey and Iraq, and speak Kurdish languages. They come from different religions.

• Lori dialect is between Kurdish and Farsi and is commonly spoken in western and southwestern parts of Iran.

Engel from Austria said that “while travelling in Iran never forget to pack with you some basic Iranian words and phrases and enjoy chatting with local people”.

The Mideast's tallest pedestrian suspension bridge in Iran

For some, the thought of crossing a swinging bridge, suspended hundreds of feet in the air, is exhilarating. While others either cross as quickly as possible, or consider the merits of staying put. High and handsome amid beautiful Iran scenery, Meshgin shahr Suspension Bridge offers travelers and locals a peculiar, jaw-dropping experience. The Mideast's tallest pedestrian suspension bridge was inaugurated in 2014, inviting walkers to brave a narrow path running 80 meters above the valley floor at its highest point. Meshgin shahr Suspension Bridge in Ardabil province, a record-breaking 365 meters long and two meters wide, is being constructed on the Khiavchai River.  Going on a ZipLine around the bridge and also crossing over the glassy part of it, are exciting activities that you can find nowhere in Iran. The availability of suitable amenities and the location of the bridge in a forest park is another reason for the popularity of this tourist attraction. The entire area is in view which makes for a perfect photo opportunity.  You will not forgive yourself if you don’t take pictures to remember the view from the middle of this breathtaking bridge.
