World Tourism Day is observed every year on 27 September. The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware of tourism around the world. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) keeps the theme of World Tourism Day different every year to make people aware. This time the theme of World Tourism Day is "Tourism and jobs: a better future for all". This Day is considered a big landmark for Global Tourism and to make them aware of the significant role of Tourism. World Responsible Tourism Day

Whether you’re a novice tourist or not, you’ve probably heard the term ‘Responsible Tourism’.  Minimizing negative social, economic and environmental impacts ,generating greater economic benefits for local people communities ,improving  working conditions,  and in general making better places for people to live in and better places for travelers to visit, in that order are among the primary goals of Responsible Tourism. World Responsible Tourism Day (WRTD) is now the largest day of responsible tourism action in the world. This day focusing on responsible tourism efforts in the travel industry takes place on 8^th November during World Travel Market London, one of the biggest travel and tourism exhibitions in the world.

27 September is World Tourism Day!

World Tourism Day (WTD) has been celebrated by United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) every year on September 27^th since 1980 to foster international awareness about the importance of tourism and its positive impact on culture, politic and economy. This date was chosen to coincide with the anniversary of the adoption of UNWTO statutes on 1970.

World tourism day theme for 2016 is: “Tourism for All – promoting universal accessibility”, which means providing accessible tourism for all of the people including disabled people even temporary, families with small children and old population.

UNWTO forecasts a 3.5 % to 4.5% growth in international tourist arrival in 2016 and predicts that tourist arrivals will reach 1.8 billion by 2030!
