Reddish Village in Iran

When visiting Iran, most travelers make a beeline for famous cities like Shiraz, Isfahan and Tehran.However, some of the country’s dreamiest holiday destinations are tiny, little-known villages off the beaten tourist track.
Abyaneh is famous for its reddish hue clay, that’s why some people called it the Red Village. The red houses of the village with its lattice windows and wooden balconies have been built on the ancient architectural style, similar to Masouleh. The roofs of some houses are used to serve as the courtyard for other houses higher up on the slope. As well, the structure of the village’s houses is in spiral shape and there is no blind alley.
Abyaneh is a dynamic tourism destination, somewhere you shouldn't miss on you way to Isfahan.

National Zoorkhane Day

In Iranian culture Zoorkhaneh is a sacred place where the physical activity is combined by music and literature. Zoorkhaneh is the house of strength not only for the body but also for the soul and spirit. Having strong morality, devotion, and honorary manner is as important as having a strong body.
Pahlevani is an Iranian traditional sport dating back to Zoroastrianism that athletes train rigorously with live music and poems of Shahnameh, the masterpiece epic book of Ferdowsi.
Iran celebrates National Zoorkhane Day on June 9th to show that Pahlevani is not only about the physical fitness but also courtesy and generosity.

Street Music in Iran

Many street musicians have become a tourist attraction in their own right, known for creating a lively and melodic atmosphere.
As one of the oldest cities in Iran, Isfahan has some of the country’s most deeply entrenched musical traditions. Street musicians often play an important role in religious ceremonies but there’s also a spontaneous nature to the music that fills Isfahan’s streets. While you’re in Isfahan, you can visit traditional bazaar ,as a music lover's spot, and just a few minutes spend on this legendary place.

Abarkooh Ice House

The brick ice house is beside the main road through Abarkuh, a small town between Shiraz and Yadz. 
This conical shape ice house, which is made of clay
 is an excellent example of how the locals were able to survive harsh desert conditions for thousands of years. It is beautifully preserved structure, including the walls nearby that were part of the system to enable bowls of water to freeze overnight in winter. The ice was then dropped into the dome over successive nights and weeks to provide ice during summer. You can enjoy visiting this authentic building for free.

Falafel

Falafel is a frugal way of eating for the travelers and has become very popular in Iran. It is a vegetarian dish consisting of deep-fried balls or patties made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. Some unnamed small buffets on Tajrish square in Tehran, offer a short but delicious menu of falafel sandwiches, served with Iranian pickles and chopped tomato, with cheese and mushrooms as optional extras.

Samboose

samboose, which is samosa in Indian, Originally from the southern parts of Iran. Samboose have worked their way to the large cities as a tasty street food commonly found in the bazaars. Some are filled with sausages and meat and others are totally vegetarian. A great tonic as you explore the maze-like bazaars, sambooseh gives you a taste of southern Iran.

Jigar

Jigar, liver kebab, is a cherished cut of meat served at local joints called jigaraki. Just say how many skewers you want, and the meat will be grilled up and served within minutes, blanketed in fresh bread. For the more adventurous, kidney and heart kabobs are also an option at jigaraki, but liver is the delicacy of choice. 

Ash reshte

There are many different kinds of Ash in Iran but Ash Reshteh is the most famous and popular one among all. A must-have during the freezing cold in winter months, this healthy is made with Persian noodles, various herbs and legumes, and is garnished with a mixture of garlic, onion and dried mint. Before walk up Darband Mountain in northern Tehran, stop for a bowl of this well-nourished soap that’ll be sure to fill you up.

 Halim
A homogenous and rich soup, it is prepared with wheat and pounded meat. Flavored with cinnamon powder, Halim is an ideal main dish for breakfast and dinner. This tasty soap is commonly served in Ramadan. Once you try Halim the Iranian way, you won’t want it any other way.

Street foods are prepared to tempt locals and foreigners into tasting them. Make sure to pay particular attention to whether the delicacies looks fresh and is being handled and stored properly.
