There are four smaller islands near Qeshm Island adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz, which are called Hengam, Larak, Hormuz and Naz. This truncated cone-shaped island off the southern coast of Qeshm is surrounded by impressive soft-coral reefs that offer great diving. This calcareous and generally low-lying island is also known for its wildlife, including birds, gazelles and dolphins.
