Swimming with the dolphins of Hengam Island!

If you are looking for an untouched and beautiful island with stunning beaches to escape from cold and freezing days this winter, you have picked the right place! Hengam Island with a historical background is one of the most beautiful islands of the Persian Gulf located in the south of Qeshm and is a top winter destination for a one-day excursion.

The coral sand of the beach leads to extremely clear turquoise water, shining under the pleasantly warm sunshine, and the weird rock formations look like beautiful sculptures! The palm trees in the middle of Hengam give a beautiful face to this small island. The English harbor buildings and the Portuguese shipwrecks on the beach are historical attractions of Hengam Island and numerous aquatic animal species such as sea turtles, sharks, corals and millions of colorful fishes live in the endless waters around this stunning island.

I think that the nicest thing about Hengam Island is its smart, naughty and lovely dolphins! You will see them jumping and swirling in groups while you are snorkeling and swimming in the ocean or resting on the beach. Or they might beautifully dance around your motorboat while you are wandering around the island.

About 103 families resident in Hengam Island. These warm-hearted and hospitable people speak with a beautiful southern accent and most of them are busy with fishing. A very nice thing that can be done in Hengam Island is getting a henna tattoo done by local women who draw floral motifs on your hands rapidly and of course spontaneously!
